For example, for Women’s History Month the club is collecting menstrual products to support women in need in our community. Period poverty is a pressing issue that affects many women and girls, and we believe that access to menstrual hygiene products is a basic human right. Events like these are one of the many service events the club hosts each year.
Joining the Pre-Med Club is also a fantastic way to find a medical program you’re most interested in. Recently, they had a tour of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine, with their guide giving them an in-depth view of the college’s program. Events like these can be a great help when faced with the ever-daunting task of choosing a field in medicine to focus on.
