Broward College’s South Campus held a Valentine’s Day Bash on Feb. 14 organized by Student Life.

Students were able to stuff their own plushies and even make or buy handmade jewelry.

Kaila Harris of Student Life explained that the idea for the Valentines Day Bash came about as a team effort; the idea wouldn’t have come to fruition if it werent for the whole group working together.

Jordan Pericles of Student Government attended the bash “because I like St. Valentines Day,” she said. “And I enjoy seeing people gather and make friends in the breezeway.”

Also in the breezeway, was a vendor by the name of Elouinia. All her products are handmade and made with love, she said.

“My name is Elou, and I hand make wearable art in jewelry. I started 10 years ago, and since then I’ve been published in various magazines such as Essence Magazine and I Magazine,” she said.

“My pieces are made with copper, impressive metals, and precious metals. All of my pieces are made with love.”

Elouinia has also made pieces for well-known celebrities like Erykah Badu, Kerri Wilson, and Paris Hilton.
