Students come together on Broward College’s Central Campus to praise God as a community and to connect with others who share the same faith.

The Campus for Christ Ministries’ (CCM), a student Club at Broward College Central Campus, had a Worship event that turned out to be an extraordinary experience. The event was led by students, where attendees could experience the presence of God and worship alongside others. “This is a student-led and student-organized event, and the goal is to make Jesus known on our campus to let people know that we have a club here to welcome them and enjoy the day. I also hope that students will want to find out more about the club and that they’ll want to find out more about the bible and more about Jesus,” said Dorothy Easely, the advisor of CCM. This event had a wonderful outcome, bringing in over 80 people and receiving lots of positive feedback from faculty members.

The welcoming feeling and sense of community drew students to the event. “What brought me to this event today was because I heard the music, and I just saw a flyer on the pole about the event happening today, and I just wanted to see what it was about. It seemed really interesting,” said Shania Gedeon, a student studying Web Development and Information Technology. Another student was thrilled to attend a worship event on campus. “I’m excited to come because I’m Christian, but I never had the chance or the time to attend any worship events, so the fact that there was an event on my campus, I just wanted to go, and I was very excited,” said Lauryn Jazotte, a student here at BC.

Many others who came cherished the fact that they were able to worship with others. “It feels really good. You can feel the community around you when you’re worshiping with your friends and others, and you can feel God moving,” said Karina Funp, a student at Broward College. “At Broward College, there is truly something for everyone, and students thrive in its vibrant, welcoming community.

The live music was another aspect that made the event shine. “The live music really brings the event to life. It gives a certain type of serenity, like an empty canvas room,” said Justin Cave, a BC student. The melodies created a relaxing background that encouraged students to linger and connect. For many, the music transformed the gathering into more than just an event; it became an experience full of joy and reflection.

The Campus for Christ Ministries’ Club often hosts events like this one, where CCM gets involved with the Broward College community. Every week, members of the club evangelize on campus, engaging with students. These regular activities highlight CCM’s ongoing role in engaging students and contributing to campus life. As CCM continues to host worship events and outreach activities, their presence remains a steady influence on Broward College’s diverse campus community.
